NTY promoted in US


KATHMANDU, May 17: Nepali Embassy in the United States organized a cultural, tourism and trade promotional program named ´Embassy Open House´ on Saturday.

Issuing a press statement on Sunday, the embassy stated the program was to disseminate information about Nepal´s culture, tourism, education and trade and to promote Nepal Nepal TourismYear (NTY) 2011 campaign.

The event featured exhibition of Nepali handicrafts, pashmina products and food stalls and cultural and traditional attractions. Around 2,500 visitors from Washington and and other neighboring states participated at the fair, according to the statement.

The even saw encouraging participation of Nepalese residing in USA in traditional Nepali attire.
