IHG Appoints Kinsell

Kirk Kinsell has been appointed as President – The Americas for InterContinental Hotel Group.

 

Kinsell has been a member of IHG’s senior leadership team since 2002, an Executive Board member since 2010, and previously the President for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) of IHG. He will be reporting to Richard Solomons, the incoming Chief Executive. Solomons was quoted in AsiaTravelTips.com as having said that he is confident Kinsell knows the region, the team, the owner community and the business inside out. Solomons added that Kinsell has done an outstanding job leading their EMEA region and he looks forward to him continuing this success in the Americas.

IFT Takes Over PATA Macau Chapter

The Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) has been elected as PATA Macau Chapter Chairman for the term 2011-2013, effective July 1.

 

IFT takes the helm of PATA Macau Chapter from Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO). Out-going Chapter Chairman MGTO Director Joao Manuel Costa Antunes was quoted as having said that he looks forward to working closely with them for the continuous development of the chapter in the coming years. New PATA Macau Chapter chairman IFT President Dr Fanny Vong was quoted as having said that they will do their best to coordinate the effort of all Chapter members to promote sustainable tourism development in Macau and the region, and to create more opportunities and platform for our young PATA professionals to advance their skills and knowledge, as well as to participate in different aspects of the Association’s work.

 

In line with enhancing and promoting chapter membership exposure, the PATA Macau Chapter has also recently produced new stickers and pins for its chapter members.
