Air China Adds Boeing777-300ER to its Fleet

Air China received its first Boeing 777-300ER on July 21. This aircraft also marks the first of its kind in the country.

 

At a reception ceremony held in Beijing, Air China Vice President He Li announced that the airline will introduce 19 Boeing 777-300ERs in the future. Li added that the first aircraft will fly on routes between Beijing and Guangzhou, and Shanghai and Shenzhen. The second aircraft will be used for on routes between Beijing and Frankfurt, and London and Paris, and will replace Boeing 747-400 planes currently used between China and North America. The delivery date for the second Boeing 777-300ER is yet to be confirmed.

 

Air China is set to expand its fleet with the addition of wide-bodied aircrafts in the next five years.
