Air India Welcomes New Chairman and Managing Director

The Government of India has named Rohit Nandan as the new Chairman and Managing Director for Air India. Nandan is currently a Joint Secretary in India’s Civil Aviation Ministry. He will replace Arvind Jadhav whose term will end in May 2012 and serve a three-year term.

 

According to a report in TTG Asia, Nandan said his first priority would be to work on the airline’s turnaround plan and cut its financial losses. His other priorities include lifting employee morale, and upgrade service quality to match expectations.
