Vietnam’s Hue Province to Host Tourism Year 2012

Hue, Vietnam’s ancient capital, has revealed plans of hosting Tourism Year 2012. The Hue national tourism year 2012 is set to take on the theme, ‘Hue ancient capital city, new experiences’, and is deemed a major tourism event that took 12 full months of planning.

 

The campaign aims to attract both international and domestic tourists to experience Vietnam’s tourism products and cultural heritage. According to a report inTravel Daily Asia, the central Thua Thien Hue Province’s People Committee aims to complete 43 projects in time for this campaign. Included in the project are five hotels by Mercure and Mondial which are already in operation and others underway.

 

The campaign targets an annual tourism turnover of more than VND3 trillion with arrivals of at least 1.2 million international tourists a year by 2015.
