Nepal Tourism Board to hold roadshows in East India

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) will carry out promotional campaigns in the eastern part of India this week to attract more Indian tourists.

NTB held its first road show in Kolkata on Tuesday and plans to hold such road shows in Bhubaneswar and Ranchi on April 25 and April 27, respectively, NTB said in a statement.

According to the statement, “These road shows are aimed at spreading awareness and educating the travellers in the region about Nepal’s tourism products and offerings.”

While Nepal will organise various programmes to mark 2013 with Mt. Everest Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, it will conduct familiarisation trips for high-level national and international dignitaries to the Everest Region, NTB added.

NTB said it plans to promote destinations including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini, Manakamana and Muktinath; hill stations including Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, Daman, Bandipur, Tansen currently for Indian market.

Soft adventure activities such as white-water rafting, biking, fishing, rock climbing, paragliding, ultra light aircraft and bungee jumping will be endorsed.

NTB’s marketing strategy will focus on B2B and B2C promotion programmes in the both metro and satellite cities in India and Asia.
